Apple AirPlay makes it easy to stream music from Apple® devices like an iPhone®, as well as from iTunes® on your computer. Pandora® and vTuner Internet radio offer endless hours of free online music. If you subscribe to Spotify®, you can play their huge library of tunes wirelessly using your Android or Apple device.

AirPlay and the Pioneer remote app require a wireless home network and a wired connection between the receiver and network. The free iControlAV5 app lets you use your smartphone or tablet to control the Elite VSX-44 via Wi-Fi (iPad version shown). The VSX-44 has connections for disc players, streaming video devices, network music players, cable/satellite boxes, and more.

It's also compatible with 4K video, for the latest Ultra HD TVs. One of the most important connections is on the front panel it's where you plug in the included microphone to run this receiver's automatic speaker calibration.
