Missing 3 plastic dog legs (theses hold it in the wall) as pictured. All the speaker cone's are in perfect condition. Your unlikely to see another pair of theses speakers for sale! The AMC 2000 is the in-wall version of the world's first THX Ultra2 certifiedspeaker. The AMC 2000 sets a benchmark for main channels playback of... David Smith, Snell's presidentand chief engineer, solved the three problems that hold back In-Wall speakersfrom serious theater consideration. First, to establish predictable bass response aspecial "back-box" enclosure was developed, which like all conventional loudspeakers, determines the speaker's bass response.

Second, the best materials were used. OtherIn-Walls use cheap plastics, which color the sound and leak sound to adjacentrooms.

The AMC 2000 features a heavily braced and well damped MDF cabinet tooptimize performance by controlling resonance. Third, the tweeter-midrangearray is "toed"in to replicate the sound stage capabilities of free standingspeakers.

The result is a system of uncompromising neutality and dimension. TheAMC 2000 deploys the components of the award winning Snell XA 1900efficient enclosure designed to fit into conventional 2 x 4 walls, even behindacoustically transparent screens. Intended for home theater and music system's L/C/Rchannels, the AMC 2000 features a three-driver eXpanding Array (XA) of dual 2 ½-inch AMC2000 mid ranges and 1-inch aluminum dome tweeter. This unique driver/crossover innovationmanages vertical directivity without lobing, for a natural and "airy" soundstage. Further-more, its controlled dispersion pattern and special tuning compensate for unpredictableroom acoustics and boundary interactions.

Coupled with two 8-inch high outputwoofers, theAMC 2000 is capable of tremendous output, providing effortless, powerfulsound to below 60 Hz. Every AMC 2000 is assembled by hand and individually cali-brated, assuring performance to within 0.5dB of its reference standard. 1 ferrofluid cooled aluminum dome with separate PVC surround.
