The PB-2000 has a front-firing 4-inch high-flow port with inner and outer port flaring that energizes rooms, irrespective of size with extremely low-frequency output for super powerful and realistic film and music performance. The centre of the SVS PB-2000 ported box subwoofer is their newly engineered 12-inch 2000-series driver with dual high-grade ferrite magnets and FEA-optimized motor for nearly distortion-free quality.

The reinforced Nomex spider has been employed to improved linearity and driver control, especially important when the STA-500D amplifier is pushing the sub to its maximum output levels. To be sure that the PB-2000 can handle punishing output levels overtime, the driver also features a durable low-creep rubber long-throw surround and integrated leads to maximize longevity.

The amplifier built into the PB-2000 is a Sledge STA-500D DSP amplifier that has features only normally found in subwoofers being more expensive. The amplifier is conservatively rated at 500 watts RMS continuous and 1,100+ watts peak dynamic. Plus the PB-2000 also has brains as well as muscle, with the sophisticated DSP that has an array of filters and volume, gain, and phase controls for fine-tuning the sub's performance. There is also a frequency-dependent limiter/compressor algorithm which has adjustable attack/release and compression parameters to allow for you to refine the behaviour of the subwoofer system.
